Information Like the new Overlander range of HD servos we tested the new Ripmax New Power servos before buying them. The centring repeatability was very good with no discernable backlash in the gear train. They did not chatter with each other when operating as a bank of four, a common fault with a number of cheap servos. The only criticism we have is the clevis holes in some of the larger servo arms were too big resulting in clevis slack when using a normal M2 metal clevis. The other output arms supplied are OK. Our solution is to use the standard Hitec servo arms if a larger output arm is required. We have raised this issue with Ripmax and it is being looked into. Despite this we have no hesitation in recommending these servos for most sport applications particularly as they are very attractively priced and come with a Ripmax guarantee. |
